Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are competing for control of outer space, with both seeking to colonise the Moon, extract its resources and launch thousands more satellites, according to Atlantic writer Josh Tyrangiel.
Tyrangiel said the ambitions of the two billionaires extend beyond commercial space activity to the long-term development of the Moon and its resources.
He described Musk and Bezos as each other’s only real competition in the race for dominance beyond Earth.
