Nicole Kidman reunited with Sandra Bullock at the Los Angeles premiere of Practical Magic 2 on Monday, bringing the film’s original witch sisters together once again nearly three decades after the first instalment.
The pair returned to the red carpet as Gillian and Sally Owens, the roles they first played in the 1998 fantasy film. Their appearance marked a major moment in the promotional campaign for the long-awaited sequel.
Practical Magic 2 sees Bullock and Kidman reprise their parts as the Owens sisters, whose family is once again drawn into a dangerous magical crisis. Joey King and Maisie Williams have joined the cast as Sally’s daughters.
The sequel is directed by Susanne Bier and is based on Alice Hoffman’s The Book of Magic, the fourth novel in the author’s Practical Magic series.
Practical Magic 2 is due to arrive in cinemas in the United States on September 11, with international screenings beginning on September 9.
