Oliver Stark broke his ankle in a stunt accident while filming the tenth season of 9-1-1, with the injury reportedly requiring surgery.
The actor was hurt in late August during a sequence involving a firefighter swinging from a car over part of the set and on to a ladder truck.
A stunt double had reportedly sprained an ankle while rehearsing the scene but did not seek medical treatment, meaning no official injury report was filed at the time. The stunt was later changed, but Stark is said to have rolled his ankle over another performer while filming.
Several other injuries have reportedly occurred during production of the ABC drama. One stunt performer suffered a serious arm injury after striking jagged metal on a set piece and needed hospital treatment and stitches.
In a separate incident, another performer reportedly broke a rib and suffered a minor compressed lung after landing awkwardly on a platform designed to simulate a collapsing ground surface.
That performer was taken to hospital as a precaution, although it is not known whether they have returned to work.
The reported accidents have raised concerns about safety on the set, following the death of a crew member in 2024 after a 14-hour overnight shift.
Despite his injury, Stark has since returned to work and production has continued.
Representatives for Stark and 20th Television have been approached for comment, but no response has been received.
