A 35-year-old Western Australian man has been charged with 16 offences following a police pursuit, months after he allegedly left his fiancé’s lifeless body with paramedics before fleeing.
The man is accused of abandoning the woman as emergency responders attended, then becoming the subject of a separate investigation that culminated in the pursuit.
Police have not publicly disclosed the full list of charges or detailed the circumstances surrounding the chase. The allegations are yet to be tested in court.
The man will face the Australian courts over the offences. Being charged does not mean he has been found guilty.
