PSG interest in Leny Yoro is being closely monitored at Manchester United, with Bayern Munich also understood to be tracking the 20-year-old defender’s situation at Old Trafford.
Yoro remains one of Europe’s most highly rated young centre-backs, but his role under Michael Carrick has not always been clearly defined. He has been used at right-back on occasions, highlighting his versatility while also raising questions over his long-term position.
PSG and Bayern Munich monitor Leny Yoro
Paris Saint-Germain are reported to be admirers of Yoro and would consider taking him back to France if Manchester United became willing to sanction a transfer. Bayern Munich are also monitoring developments.
United paid more than £50 million to sign Yoro from Lille in 2024 and initially regarded him as a central part of their future defence. However, the club are now assessing their longer-term options and could listen to proposals if the circumstances were deemed right.
There is no indication that United have decided to sell the defender. Yoro has remained positive about his current situation and said he is happy to operate either at centre-back or right-back when required by Carrick.
The youngster’s development has also received strong backing from team-mate Harry Maguire, who said Yoro had “all the attributes, the talent, and the potential to have whatever career he wants”.
Yoro’s recent debut for France has further underlined his progress, while interest from PSG and Bayern Munich reflects the reputation he established before moving to England.
For United, selling Yoro now would carry the risk of losing a player before he reaches his peak. Unless he seeks a move or his route into the team becomes completely blocked, the club may consider continuing his development at Old Trafford preferable to allowing another European heavyweight to benefit from his potential.
