Brodee Scott, a young worker at The Reject Shop, has been refused bail after being accused of taking part in an alleged home invasion involving two teenagers in Geelong.
The allegations have placed Scott at the centre of a serious criminal case, while newly surfaced photographs provide glimpses of the turbulent life surrounding the proceedings.
Scott is accused over the alleged break-in, although the claims against her have not been proved and she remains entitled to the presumption of innocence. Her bail refusal means she will remain in custody while the case progresses through the Victorian courts.
The development comes weeks after the prison suicide of 18-year-old Tarsha Golightly, whose death has prompted a coronial investigation in Victoria. Golightly’s death has also drawn renewed attention to the circumstances faced by young women held on remand.
The allegations against Scott remain before the court.
