Taylor Swift made a striking appearance at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, arriving in an icy-blue Dior gown before taking to the stage as the evening’s closing performer.
The strapless ballgown featured a softly ruched bodice, a finely pleated skirt and a dramatic train. A sparkling bow at the neckline added a fairytale touch to the look, which brought a modern Cinderella-inspired feel to the red carpet.
Swift completed the outfit with glittering Chopard jewellery and a softly curled, side-swept lob styled half-up. Her earrings were made from platinum set with 32.40 carats of diamonds, while a gold ring featured 5.78 carats of diamonds. She also wore a platinum and diamond bracelet, with all the pieces taken from the brand’s Haute Joaillerie Collection.
The gown was designed by Dior’s Jonathan Anderson, who also created Swift’s custom Dior wedding dress for her Madison Square Garden ceremony with Travis Kelce.
Taylor Swift to perform at the Academy Museum Gala
Swift was due to close the event with a performance as the gala celebrated filmmaker and composer John Carpenter. The evening also included special honours for Oscar winner Charlize Theron and two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo.
Announcing Swift’s appearance earlier this month, Academy Museum director and president Amy Homma said: “Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world. We are thrilled to welcome her to this year’s gala and look forward to her performance to close a wonderful evening of honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema.”
The event, sometimes referred to as the Met Gala of the West, was held in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
