The Invite is Olivia Wilde‘s latest directorial outing. The A24 movie came out in limited theaters earlier this summer with an expanded theatrical run in July. For those who’ve been waiting to watch it at home, though, here’s what we know about The Invite on streaming.
When does The Invite come out on streaming?
As of Tuesday, August 11, The Invite is available on Video on Demand (VOD). It can be purchased/rented on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google Play, and more. Prices may vary, but it’s around $19.99 to rent and $24.99 to buy on the aforementioned platforms.
A subscription streaming date has not been announced, and The Invite is still in theaters. But A24 has a deal with HBO Max, so it will likely stream there once its theatrical run is over.

Wilde and Rogen play Angela and Joe, who invite Cruz and Norton’s Piña and Hawk over for dinner. When Piña and Hawk tell Angela and Joe that they have something they want to talk to them about, the last thing they expected to hear was that the couple feels a “very strong connection” to them, but they’re thrilled by the attention.
Angela says it’s the “happiest night” of her life in a private talk with Joe. Piña and Hawk suggest a game, and Joe has to double-check that they really want him involved, too. This night might be just what Angela and Joe’s marriage needs to get back on its feet.
Wilde has another new movie this summer called I Want Your Sex, which also stars Cooper Hoffman, Daveed Diggs, Charli XCX, Chase Sui Wonders, Mason Gooding, Margaret Cho, and Johnny Knoxville. I Want Your Sex is directed by Gregg Araki.
