Nepo baby Brielle Biermann has found herself in hot water after she posted a video wearing what appeared to be the same wedding dress that Acquired Style influencer Brigette Pheloung wore during her nuptials.
Pheloung legally tied the knot with her longtime partner Mitch McHale back in June, but had a second, much larger celebration on Saturday in Newport, Rhode Island
Just hours after the first images of her in her Vera Wang dress hit the web, Biermann, the daughter of Real Housewives star Kim Zolciak-Biermann and former footballer Kroy Biermann, uploaded a clip of herself trying on a very similar gown.
Biermann, who is engaged to minor league baseball player boyfriend Billy Seidl, ultimately chose a different gown for her upcoming nuptials, but explained in the video that it was the ‘dress she almost said yes to.’
Many social media users thought it was suspicious that she decided to share a video seemingly wearing the gown that Pheloung wed in, especially given the timing, and accused her of trying to ‘get clout from Pheloung’s special day.’
The video showed Biermann trying on an off-the-shoulder Vera Wang gown, which was adorned with abstract gazaar florals across the waistband and winding rosettes around the hem of the train.
She was seen staring at herself in the mirror as someone adjusted the lengthy train of the dress and smiling towards the camera.
‘The dress I almost said yes to,’ she wrote in a text overlay, adding in the caption: ‘Still love her’ and tagging Vera Wang.
Brielle Biermann uploaded a clip of herself trying on a Very Wang wedding gown on Sunday, but fans noticed it was the same dress that Acquired Style influencer Brigette Pheloung wore during her wedding over the weekend and it launched a social media controversy
Pheloung hadn’t shared any photos of herself in the gown at the time of Biermann’s post but friends had, and she later uploaded a video of herself wearing it, describing it as ‘the dress of my dreams’
The clip quickly erupted online as many viewers pointed out that Pheloung appeared to wear the same gown during her wedding celebration over the weekend.
Pheloung hadn’t shared any photos of herself in the gown at the time of Biermann’s post, but images shared by her friends had trickled onto the web.
The comment section of Biermann’s post was immediately flooded with backlash.
‘The lengths people go for clout from someone else’s special day is crazy. Respect the hustle though,’ one user wrote.
‘Real mean girl energy,’ another added, while someone else chimed in: ‘Imagine trying to steal the Acquired Style’s spotlight… Not a good look babes.’
‘Beyond weird timing,’ a different user penned.
‘No for sure it’s just a coincidence to dedicate an entire post to the dress you didn’t choose the same day someone else gets leaked in the same dress for sure a coincidence,’ someone else sarcastically commented.
Others, however, defended her.
Biermann is the daughter of Real Housewives star Kim Zolciak-Biermann (seen together in 2020) and former footballer Kroy Biermann
Biermann, who is engaged to minor league baseball player boyfriend Billy Seidl (seen together), ultimately chose a different gown for her upcoming nuptials, but explained in the video that it was the ‘dress she almost said yes to’
‘Absolutely no way this was intentional. Seriously not everyone has malicious intentions,’ one user claimed.
‘All these negative comments are crazy! Many influencers post the dresses they didn’t get. I bet Brielle had no idea about the other girl’s dress. Chill out y’all!’ another urged.
Biermann ultimately addressed the drama in a post shared to her Instagram Stories.
She included a screenshot that showed she had edited the video on Friday, before Pheloung’s wedding even kicked off, writing: ‘As you can see, I made this video on Friday.
‘We had it scheduled to be posted on Sunday for engagement purposes. I’ve never met @Acquired.Style and did not know she was getting married this weekend, let alone see a leaked photo of her [in the dress].’
She went on to praise Pheloung, gushing: ‘She clearly has great taste [if] she went with Vera Wang for her dress.’
‘My wedding is approaching, so my content strategist wanted me to start posting bridal content leading up to my date,’ Biermann explained.
‘I have another video of an additional dress I almost said yes to that is prescheduled to post tomorrow.’

She concluded the message with a note to Pheloung.
‘To @Acquired.Style, I genuinely hope you had a fabulous wedding day and enjoyed your dress,’ she said.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Biermann and Pheloung for comment.
Pheloung shared a carousel of images from her wedding celebration to Instagram on Monday evening.
It included shots of the beaming couple taking their vows, walking back down the aisle hand in hand and spending a moment alone against a clifftop background.
The New York City-based content creator also posted a separate video showcasing her gown, describing it as ‘the dress of my dreams.’
