A three-year-old girl has died after being struck by a car entering a driveway in Auburn, west Sydney.
The incident happened on Normanby Road at about 2.05pm on Tuesday. Paramedics treated the girl at the scene before taking her to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
She later died from her injuries.
The 27-year-old driver was not injured and was taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory testing.
NSW Police said a crime scene had been established and an investigation was under way. “A crime scene has been established with an investigation into the incident underway,” the force said in a statement.
A report will be prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.
