A state witness told jurors on Monday that Kewon White confessed to killing Dallas rapper MO3 in a shooting on a Texas motorway in November 2020.
Cedric Bradley, who grew up with White, said the defendant described the fatal attack and told him he expected to be paid for carrying it out. The testimony came on the fourth day of White’s murder trial in Dallas. Prosecutors accuse him of being the gunman who chased and shot Melvin Noble, known professionally as MO3, on Interstate 35.
The state alleges that White was hired by fellow Dallas rapper Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, to kill Noble. A Dallas Fire-Rescue officer testified that Noble showed no signs of life from the time crews arrived until he reached hospital.
