Junior doctors in England have called off strike action after receiving a new pay offer from the Government. Members of the British Medical Association were set to stage a four-day walkout next week, beginning at 7am on Monday. Junior doctors, now known as resident doctors, have been locked in a long-running dispute over pay. The walkout would have been their 16th round of strike action since 2023. A ‘devoted’ grandfather who had worked in the NHS for more than 50 years died after medics gave him an insulin injection by mistake, an inquest has heard.  Donald Gough, 77, passed away four weeks after he was ‘erroneously’ jabbed with the substance at the end of a surgery at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
