Donald Trump was met with some awkward responses at the G7 on Tuesday as he talked up his UFC cage fight at the White House.
Italian prime minister Georgia Meloni immediately turned away, with commenters suggesting it seemed she was looking for the exit.
France’s Emmanuel Macron looked at Trump with a smile, while Canada’s Mark Carney covered his hand with his mouth, possibly masking a chuckle.
Trump was invited to discuss Sunday’s event by Qatar’s Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani as the leaders attended a working lunch in Evian-les-Bains, France.
The President told him: ‘The event at the White House was the best thing that anyone has ever seen.’
Japan’s prime minister Sanae Takaichi and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen smiled as the president spoke.
Trump was savaged online.

Another user called Babylego said, ‘Every group of female coworkers knows this scene,’ posting a screenshot of Japanese prime minister Sanae Takaichi and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen smiled as they listened to Trump.
