The UK record for the hottest May day has been broken for a second day in a row, as parts of London surpassed 35C on Tuesday. Kew Gardens in south-west London recorded a provisional temperature of 35.1C, beating Monday’s 34.8C record-high in the same place. Wales also broke May records for a consecutive day, as provisional temperatures reached 32.3C at Cardiff’s Bute Park, surpassing Monday’s 32.2C at Hawarden Airport in Flintshire. A body has been found in a search for a 12-year-old boy who went missing while swimming in a river. The boy was with friends when he got into difficulty in the River Ribble, Ribchester, Lancashire, at about 14:00 BST on Tuesday. Police and fire crews with underwater units launched a major search of the area until a body was recovered from the water at about 19:50 BST. A dramatic scene unfolded in Croydon this evening after a black SUV caught fire on Whitehorse Road, sending plumes of thick grey smoke high into the air and forcing emergency services into action. Aggie Kalyn Hunt, 36, was booked into the Lee County jail on a domestic violence III charge after police responded to a domestic disturbance call on Monday. Eight spectators had to be taken to hospital after a motorbike rider crashed into a crowd on the opening day of practice in the Isle of Man TT races. Organisers said the incident at the exit to Parliament Square in Ramsey involved a single competitor and “several spectators”. A ritzy private school attended by the children of major celebrities is being sued for allegedly allowing a student-run ‘kissing club’ to operate and failing to report sexual abuse that resulted. The Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, a suburb of Los Angeles, was named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by the parents of a nine-year-old girl who went to the school. Lindsie Chrisley has reportedly been arrested for suspicion of DUI.  TMZ reported that Chrisley was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Georgia on Saturday night.  She was booked into jail and bonded out early the following morning. ‘I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was,’ she told the website. The 52-year-old actress shared during the Cannes Film Festival that she thought she was going to die after being informed of the health emergency, according to Variety.
