BHP was the only Pilbara iron ore producer to replace the reserves it mined over the past decade, according to fresh analysis.
The finding sets BHP apart from the other major iron ore companies operating in the Western Australian region, which did not replenish the reserves extracted during the same period.
The analysis focused on reserve replacement among the Pilbara’s iron ore giants and highlighted BHP’s position as the sole company to have maintained its mined reserves over the decade.
