A body has been found inside a burned-out car in Gilbert, Arizona, prompting an investigation by local police and firefighters.
Emergency crews were called to the vehicle fire shortly before 12.30am on Wednesday, September 23, near the junction of Higley Road and Williams Field Road in the East Valley.
Once the flames had been extinguished, an adult was discovered dead inside the car. The victim has not been publicly identified.
Gilbert Police said preliminary information had not indicated any suspicious circumstances in connection with the death, although the investigation remains under way.
The car park where the vehicle was found has been closed while officers examine the scene. Members of the public have been advised to avoid the area.
