Washington DC is set for a cloudy and cooler Monday on September 21, with showers possible across the capital region as temperatures reach about 77F (25C).
The National Weather Service said the chance of rain would increase mainly after 2pm, with a 40 per cent probability of showers during the day. Conditions are expected to remain mostly cloudy across Washington, Maryland and Virginia.
Showers may continue into Monday night, when temperatures are forecast to fall to around 64F (18C). The chance of rain rises to 50 per cent overnight.
Further unsettled weather is expected on Tuesday, with showers likely and a high of about 68F (20C), according to the weather service.
