Rachel Danis is to speak publicly for the first time since her private life was thrust into the spotlight, in a 60 Minutes interview alongside Patrick Clancy.
The programme comes weeks after a mistrial in the case involving Lindsay Clancy, who stood trial over the 2023 killings of Patrick Clancy’s children: five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan.
Prosecutors have not announced whether they will seek a retrial. The case, and Patrick Clancy’s marriage to Danis, became the subject of intense interest on social media.
In the interview with Ross Douthat, Clancy discusses grief, mental health and conspiracy theories that spread online during the trial.
He also reflects on his memories of his children and says he still speaks to them “all the time”. Asked what he says, Clancy replies: “Help me. All the time.”
When asked whether they help him, he says: “I like to believe they do. It’s a way I stay connected to them.”
The interview will be broadcast on 60 Minutes on Sunday, September 20, at 7pm ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+.
