Frankie Valli has broken his silence on the fate of his career, three months after cancelling his concerts amid health issues.
On Friday, the 92-year-old singer declared he will continue to perform, despite recent reports stating otherwise.
‘He is not retired. This is false,’ Valli’s representative Victoria Varela told Variety.
The lifelong entertainer doubled down on the message from his rep with a statement of his own, posted via Instagram.
‘In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired. – Frankie,’ he published on the social media site, where he boasts 51,000 followers.
It comes after earlier this week fans misconstrued a Facebook post shared by his brother, 77-year-old Bobby Valli.

The post said, in part, ‘We are all hoping for a speedy recovery and that he can continue to tour and perform his music around the world.’
Bobby also added about his beloved brother, ‘He has reached a place in his life where if needed, his family is there to love, cherish, and to be there for him.’
Fans flocked to the comments to leave heartfelt messages peppered with ‘retirement’ chatter including one that read: ‘Frankie [has] given so much joy in his life, he well deserves a great retirement.’
Another person wrote, ‘Time for him to sit back and relax. 92… heck, I retired at 56!’
Others simply encouraged Valli to ‘enjoy’ his ‘retirement,’ despite his brother having made no mention of it in his message.Â
Earlier this year, Valli cancelled his remaining 2026 concert dates to focus on his health.
The Four Seasons frontman announced his decision to step away from his Last Encores farewell tour in a statement posted to Instagram, assuring fans that he planned to continue the tour at another point in time.
At the time, the aforementioned Varela told Variety the music icon chose to cancel the shows – as opposed to postponing them – because he wanted fans to recoup what they spent on tickets.
‘Promoters want to prolong things and not give people their money back, but he needs to not keep rescheduling these shows,’ she said.

She continued, ‘He realized he needed to take a break and get his health in order, and that is the true issue – he wants to get better without prolonging, through the rescheduling process, the pain of people who’ve bought these tickets.’Â
The news came two years after videos of Valli looking frail and tired on stage went viral.
During a performance with his band, the singer appeared to be unstable on his feet and messed up lyrics while some observers believed he was lip syncing.
Fans commented that Valli should get some rest while others worried he looked exhausted.
However, Valli responded to the speculation, saying he was okay and no one was ‘forcing’ him to perform.
‘I know there has been a lot of stuff on the internet about me lately so I wanted to clear the air,’ Frankie told People at the time. ‘I am blessed to be 90 years old and still be doing what I love to do and as long as I am able, and audiences want to come see me, I am going to be out there performing as always.’
