Joe Giudice has defended his daughter Milania Giudice after a video of an airport incident involving the 20-year-old and her family circulated on social media.
Milania posted footage from Tampa International Airport in which she can be heard shouting at her mother, Teresa Giudice, and sister, Gia Giudice, as police stood nearby. The video has since been deleted.
“This is what we do now? This is what we do now?” Milania says in the recording. Teresa repeatedly responds, “I love you,” while Gia says: “Let her do what she wants to do.”
Speaking about the incident, Joe said Milania was “a good girl” with “a big heart”, adding that she “loves deeply and she cares enormously about the people in her life”.
He said his daughter was “young and going through a very difficult period right now” and urged people not to judge her based solely on the footage.
“I know that what people may see from the outside does not tell the whole story of what someone is experiencing privately,” Joe said.
Milania has faced a difficult period in recent months, having been arrested earlier this summer and later losing her childhood friend, Victoria.
After the airport video began circulating, a representative said Milania was “under the care of professionals”.
