Montia Sabbag, the woman involved in a 2017 sex-tape controversy with Kevin Hart, could be called to testify in the comedian’s ongoing legal dispute with his former assistant, Miesha Shakes.
Legal filings show that Shakes wants to question Sabbag about the controversy and the investigation that followed. Shakes has also said she intends to give evidence herself and plans to call Hart as a witness.
Sabbag sued Hart for 60 million dollars in 2019, alleging that he had filmed her having sex without her consent. Hart denied any wrongdoing, and the case was eventually dismissed.
Kevin Hart’s dispute with former assistant
Hart is now suing Shakes, accusing her of breaching a non-disclosure agreement by discussing his personal life in an interview with a blogger.
Shakes disputes that claim. She alleges Hart failed to meet certain obligations under the agreement and argues that the deal is void.
Hart maintains that Shakes harmed his reputation by speaking about private matters. Shakes, however, argues that the comedian damaged his own reputation over the years and cites the sex-tape controversy as one example.
The case remains ongoing, with both Hart and Shakes expected to be involved as witnesses and Sabbag potentially being brought into the proceedings.
