The National Highways incident page for this M25 closure says has not given a time for the motorway to reopen, but it does spell out why the closure was implemented.
It said: “At 16:05 a HGV fire occurred on the M25 in Kent anti-clockwise between J6 and J5. Due to the severity of the fire the M25 was closed at 17:14.Â
“Fire are currently on scene and in the process of extinguishing the fire.
“National Highways Traffic Officers are dealing with traffic management.
“There is no estimated time of when the carriageway will reopen.
“Traffic caught within the closure is in the process of being released.”
