Kai Schreiber towered over her mother Naomi Watts as the pair attended the Gucci Store Show during Milan Fashion Week’s Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 event.
The 17-year-old model posed beside the Oscar-winning actress at Allianz MiCo in Milan, with their height difference particularly noticeable. Watts is 5ft 5in, while Schreiber stands at 5ft 11in.
Watts wore a bright fuchsia suit with black pointed heels, while her daughter chose a sleeveless white mini dress, silver heels and heavy eye make-up. Schreiber completed the look with a bone-coloured Gucci purse.
The actress has regularly supported her daughter at modelling events, and was also present when Schreiber was named Breakthrough Model of the Year at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards.

Schreiber received a loud round of applause during her acceptance speech after noting that she was the first “trans girl” to win the award.
She described the recognition as “surreal”, saying she had been “so graciously welcomed into this beautiful world of fashion”. She added that she was “so beyond excited that I get to learn more about it every day and call it my job”.
“I’m also the first transgender girl to win this award,” she said, prompting cheers from the audience.
Schreiber said the honour “wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for all my sisters who paved the way for me in this industry”, adding: “I carry that with me into every room.”
She also thanked her family “for their unconditional support and devotion to making me happy and making my dreams come true”, saying: “I’m so lucky to be supported by you.”
“To say the least, I’ve found my fashion family, and I couldn’t be more happy,” she said.
Schreiber thanked Valentino for designing her outfit and for introducing her to the fashion community, saying the brand had “continued to believe in me”.
She is Watts’s daughter with actor Liev Schreiber. The former couple, who were together from 2005 to 2016, also have a 19-year-old son, Sasha.
Liev Schreiber, who married Taylor Neisen in 2023, has spoken about his daughter’s transition. “Kai was always who Kai is,” he said, recalling that the most significant moment was her asking the family to change her pronouns.
He added: “Kai is such a fighter. It’s important that she goes, ‘Hey, I am trans,’ and, ‘Look at me,’ and, ‘F*** you. F*** off.’”
Watts and Schreiber have maintained a positive co-parenting relationship since their separation. Watts married actor Billy Crudup in 2023.
