Actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been charged with six sexual offences following allegations involving five women, the Metropolitan Police and Crown Prosecution Service have said.
Clarke, 50, faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The alleged offences are said to have taken place between 2007 and 2016.
The actor, who is from Kensington, west London, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 21, at 10am.
The charges follow a Metropolitan Police investigation which began in September 2025. Police said Clarke, who was then in his 40s, was first arrested in connection with the inquiry on September 25 last year before detectives submitted an evidence file to the CPS.
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney said the women connected to the charges continued to receive support from specially trained officers.
“We urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to contact police,” he said. “The information you provide will be dealt with in the utmost sensitivity and we have trained investigators on hand to support you.”
Clarke is best known for writing and starring in the 2006 film Kidulthood, which examined bullying, drug abuse and violence among young people in London. He also played Mickey Smith in the BBC science-fiction series Doctor Who.
Allegations of sexual misconduct against Clarke were reported by The Guardian in 2021. He denied the claims.
The charges remain allegations and Clarke has not been convicted of any offence.
