Jacobo Ramon is expected to become Real Madrid’s first signing ahead of next season, with the Spanish club able to bring the defender back from Como for €10 million.
Ramon left Madrid for Cesc Fabregas’s Serie A side, where he has established himself as an important player. Premier League clubs were linked with a move for him during the summer, but no transfer took place.

The reported arrangement gives Real Madrid a fixed-price option to re-sign Ramon whenever they choose. That has made a return to the Bernabeu a strong possibility, particularly given the modest value of the €10m buy-back clause.
Even if Madrid did not intend to use Ramon immediately, exercising the option could allow them to sell him on for a significant profit. However, his form at Como means he could also provide useful defensive cover for his former club.
Ramon has remained measured when discussing what comes next. “I’m focused on the present… I’m very happy at Como and I’m only thinking about doing my best this season, winning a lot of games and getting as far as possible,” he said.
For now, the defender remains focused on Como, but the terms of his departure have left Real Madrid well placed to secure his return before the next campaign.
