Dr Reza Nabavi, owner of Resolutions Living in Malibu, has declined to answer questions about why Presley Gerber was admitted to its sober house while allegedly under the influence of drugs.
Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, was taken to the facility after his sober coach contacted Resolutions and reportedly made clear that he was high. The admissions director is said to have agreed that he could be brought there.
People in the rehabilitation industry have described it as a firm rule that anyone who is high should not be admitted to a sober house. Gerber was left at the property by the sober coach, who then departed.
Video obtained from inside the facility appeared to show Gerber under the influence. He is said to have taken drugs and apparently overdosed several hours later.
When approached in Malibu, Dr Nabavi raised his hand towards the photographer and appeared unwilling to discuss Gerber’s admission or the facility’s policies.
The admissions director has reportedly been dismissed. Dr Nabavi is also said to have privately maintained that the facility was not responsible, instead placing blame on the sober coach.
