Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been dealt a fresh humiliation after their latest film was beaten at the US box office by a compilation of skateboarding cats and internet cat videos. Cookie Queens, the Archewell-produced documentary about American Girl Scouts selling cookies, took less than £250,000 from 446 cinemas and failed to make the Top 10.
Industry sources called the return “pretty pitiful”, with each screening averaging around £500. CatVideoFest 2026, by contrast, earned roughly £420,000 and landed tenth despite screening in 191 fewer cinemas, reported The Times. Mixed reviews and scant promotion since its Sundance premiere have left the Sussexes’ Hollywood ambitions looking distinctly dented. The distributor claimed solid interest from Girl Scouts past and present, but the numbers tell a far less flattering story.
