Trump terminates Medicaid investment for gender-transition surgical procedures for minors as he vows to 'preserve America's youngsters'

The Trump administration is prohibiting Medicaid funds from being used for gender-transition surgeries for minors.

The president announced on his Truth Social page Tuesday evening that he directed Dr Mehmet Oz, administrator of the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, to implement the new policy.

‘We are not going to pay four our innocent children to undergo these barbaric surgeries and practices, which result in unthinkable and irreversible harm to their young bodies,’ Trump posted, noting that a number of hospitals across the United States have already stopped performing the procedures.

‘Just think about all of the young, innocent and perhaps confused children who will be spared,’ the president continued as he hailed his new policy. 

Trump then took aim at Democrats.

‘While the Dumocrat Party wants your kids to be able to chop off their reproductive organs before they are old enough to vote, President Donald J Trump (ME!) and the Republican Party say that is ABSURD and we will protect America’s children,’ he wrote.

‘Please remember this when you are casting your vote in the Midterm Elections in November,’ the president then urged.
