Gilberto Mora’s agent has declined to comment on reports that Liverpool are preparing a substantial offer for the 17-year-old Club Tijuana midfielder.
Rafaela Pimenta was asked about claims that the Premier League club had made, or was preparing, a record-breaking bid worth around $50 million (£40m) for the Mexican prospect.
“Please understand that I don’t comment on transfer rumours,” Pimenta said.
“I won’t say anything at all about the transfer of any player. Thank you very much for your understanding.”
Liverpool linked with Gilberto Mora move
Pimenta, who also represents Manchester City forward Erling Haaland, has therefore offered no indication of whether Liverpool have opened negotiations for Mora.
The teenager has become one of the most closely watched young players in world football after establishing himself at Club Tijuana and earning recognition with Mexico.
Mora wears Tijuana’s number 10 shirt and has produced notable goalscoring performances against Liga MX opponents including Pumas UNAM and Cruz Azul.
His market value is reported to have risen to €25m following his international progress. Mora also made history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup by becoming the sixth-youngest player to appear in the competition after breaking into Mexico’s senior squad.
Liverpool are not the only major European club monitoring the attacking midfielder. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal have also been linked with an interest in the Club Tijuana starlet.
With Mora approaching his 18th birthday, reports of a potential battle for his signature have intensified ahead of the January transfer window, although his representative has refused to confirm or deny Liverpool’s reported approach.
