Angelina Jolie has sold her historic Hollywood mansion for $24.75 million, bringing the Los Feliz property’s more than five-month spell on the market to an end.
The 11,000-square-foot estate, which once belonged to legendary director Cecil B DeMille, was listed for $29.85 million. The sale price was therefore substantially below the asking figure.
Jolie bought the 2.1-acre property for $24.5 million in 2017, several months after her split from Brad Pitt. The sale is expected to leave the Oscar-winning actress with a modest profit.
The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion includes a fitness studio, a pool house and a guest house, as well as views across the Hollywood Hills.
The estate also has links to actor Charlie Chaplin, adding to its place in Los Angeles’s Hollywood history.
