Oscar-winning actress Eva Marie Saint has died aged 102. She won the Academy Award for her debut performance opposite Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront and died on 6 October 2026.
Saint went on to star in several celebrated films, including Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest and Exodus.
In a 2014 profile for Sunday Morning, Saint spoke to correspondent Mo Rocca about working with Hitchcock, Cary Grant and Paul Newman.
She also discussed balancing her film career with family life and maintaining a sense of being a normal person in Hollywood.
