Barcelona are under pressure to raise funds through January sales, with Jules Kounde now understood to be among the players who could leave the Catalan club for the right offer.
The France international has previously attracted strong interest from Chelsea, although no concrete move materialised during the summer. The Premier League club may have considered the possibility before turning its attention to other options.
Kounde is understood to be open to remaining at Barcelona and, like Alejandro Balde, is not actively seeking a departure. The pressure to make changes to the squad is instead coming from the club, which is prepared to consider selling him if suitable terms are presented.
Intermediaries have also been sounding out potential suitors for Balde and Frenkie de Jong as Barcelona assess possible departures ahead of the January window.
Any decision on Kounde is therefore expected to depend largely on the valuation placed on him and whether Chelsea or another interested club is prepared to meet Barcelona’s requirements.
