Canadian singer Sass Jordan has died aged 63, her family has announced. She died on 2 October 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
In a statement shared on social media, her family said: “On Oct. 2 2026, surrounded by her loving family, Sass Jordan peacefully crossed over to the other side.”
They added: “Sass remains in our hearts, an inimitable force of nature. An irreplaceable being of light and joy!”
Jordan was born in Birmingham, England, and lived in Montreal. She became known for songs including High Road Easy and Make You a Believer.
Her debut album, Tell Somebody, earned her the Juno Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year in 1989.
Jordan was named Female Rock Artist of the Year by Billboard in 1992, following the release of her album Racine.
She also toured with Taylor Hawkins before the drummer joined Foo Fighters. An official cause of death has not been released.
