Arizona Cardinals fans were left disappointed after Seattle Seahawks supporters helped fill State Farm Stadium for the Cardinals’ regular-season home opener on Sunday, September 20.
The visiting Seahawks secured a convincing 31-7 victory in Glendale, leaving many Arizona fans to reflect on a difficult afternoon as they made their way out of the stadium.
Seattle took control behind three touchdown catches by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, including an 82-yard score, while the Seahawks’ defence restricted the Cardinals to 151 total yards.
Seahawks chants could be heard around the stadium as the result became increasingly one-sided, with some Cardinals supporters leaving before the final whistle.
The defeat left Arizona with a 1-1 record after the opening two games of the season, while Seattle improved to 2-0. The game was the Cardinals’ first regular-season fixture at State Farm Stadium in the 2026 campaign, following their opening-week win on the road.
FOX 10 reporter Andrew Christiansen spoke to fans from both teams after the game about the atmosphere inside the stadium and their reaction to Seattle’s emphatic win.
