Two Chandler teenagers have built a window-cleaning business serving homes and businesses across Arizona’s East Valley, after starting the venture at the age of 13.
Tyce Underwood and Grayden Russell, now 15, are the founders of Rapid Window Cleaning. What began as an attempt to earn money has grown into a fully insured limited liability company offering window washing, screen repair, solar-panel cleaning and other home services.
The pair met in seventh grade and quickly discovered a shared interest in business. Their first plan was to offer pressure-washing services, but after months without a response to their flyers, they accepted an unexpected opportunity to clean a customer’s windows.
With no previous experience, they bought squeegees and supplies from a local hardware shop and practised on their parents’ windows before taking on the job. The work went well, prompting them to focus on window cleaning and promote the business door to door and online.
Rapid Window Cleaning’s website says the teenagers have since bought a company truck, hired their first employee and expanded into car detailing. The business says it serves homeowners and commercial customers throughout the East Valley.
The company’s growth has come while both founders are still at school. Its online listings say the pair have built a customer base of hundreds and continue to run the operation alongside their studies.
