A vehicle fire in West Leederville prompted multiple triple zero calls and brought six firefighting crews to Northwood Street on Saturday evening.
The red vehicle caught fire at about 6.15pm while parked on a residential verge, with flames spreading to a nearby tree as bystanders watched.
Fire and Emergency Services crews attended and had extinguished the blaze by 6.50pm. Footage from the scene showed the older convertible BMW engulfed in flames as emergency vehicle alarms sounded.
The BMW is understood to have been owned by the same family for generations.
The cause of the fire remains unclear, and police did not attend the scene.
