Dakota Johnson has addressed the latest romance rumours surrounding her, after she was recently seen with Machine Gun Kelly. The actress said she routinely finds herself linked to men simply for having dinner with them.
Speaking on Vogue’s The Run-Through podcast, Johnson said: “Even if I go to dinner with my manager or my lawyer, it’s like, ‘Seen with mystery man.’ I also don’t care.”
The 36-year-old said she no longer attempts to correct reports about her personal life, arguing that doing so would be pointless.
“I think it’s just, kind of, futile. People are gonna believe what they wanna believe, and I don’t have the energy to fight for that,” she said. “I would much rather focus on other things in my life.”
Johnson added: “Every day, there’s something on the internet that’s ridiculous and true or not true, and I don’t care, like, get a life.”

Speculation about Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly grew after the pair were seen together. A source close to the musician told People that they had been “hanging out and seeing each other under the radar for months now”.
The source claimed the pair had known each other previously but “hit it off” at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in July. They were said to have started as friends and exchanged frequent messages before spending more time together.
“It’s a very new start, but they’re smitten with each other right now,” the source said, adding that Machine Gun Kelly was “very into” Johnson and had been telling friends that she was “amazing”.
