Robert Kelker-Kelly was found unresponsive in bed at his home in Missouri after a call reporting a cardiac arrest, with police saying there appeared to be nothing suspicious about the circumstances.
Dispatchers received the emergency call at about 8.16pm on October 3. The actor’s body was later released by the medical examiner to a local funeral home, according to law enforcement.
In the dispatch audio, an official can be heard saying the caller reported being unable to move Mr Kelker-Kelly’s body from the bed.
Police and emergency medical services were sent to the property after a report of an unconscious man who was not breathing. CPR was already in progress while they were en route, the audio indicates.
Authorities said the circumstances appeared consistent with a medical event and that there was nothing suspicious at the scene.
Mr Kelker-Kelly was best known for playing Bo Brady in the US soap opera Days of Our Lives between 1992 and 1995. He took over the role from Peter Reckell and appeared opposite Kristian Alfonso as Hope Brady and Lisa Rinna as Billie Reed.
He was 62.
