Gottmik, the RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant, has been arrested for DUI after a Porsche collided with several parked vehicles in Burbank, California.
Police officers responded at about 4.50pm on 16 September following a crash involving a black Porsche and multiple parked cars, according to law enforcement sources.
The Porsche struck a parked Toyota Camry, which was pushed into two other vehicles. Gottmik, whose real name is Kade Gottlieb, was the only person in the Porsche.
Police said the 30-year-old displayed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication before being arrested for DUI. Gottmik was released on 17 September.
Gottmik made history on RuPaul’s Drag Race as the first trans man to compete on the programme. He finished in a shared third-fourth place during its 13th season and later returned for the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
A representative for Gottmik has been contacted for comment but has not yet responded.
