Police in Kent, Washington, are investigating a fatal shooting near the Kent-Des Moines Park and Ride, where at least one person died on Tuesday evening.
Officers were called to the transit facility at 23405 Military Road South at about 6.50pm on September 15, according to the Kent Police Department.
The King County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation. Emergency crews, including units from the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority, were also dispatched to the scene.
Authorities have not released details about what led to the shooting, identified the victim or said whether a suspect has been arrested.
The Kent-Des Moines Park and Ride is near Interstate 5 and State Route 516 and serves commuters from Kent, Des Moines and surrounding communities. Police said further information would be released as it becomes available.
