Three men and a woman have been charged over a shooting in Hamilton Hill, near Fremantle, which left a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The four accused are due to appear at Fremantle Magistrates Court on Friday, each charged with attempting to unlawfully kill.
WA Police allege the shooting occurred at about 4.30am on Sunday, September 13, near the corner of Karda Way and Yongka. The injured man was initially fighting for his life but has since been discharged from hospital.
The incident prompted a major manhunt and a lockdown in the surrounding neighbourhood, with residents urged to remain indoors and secure their windows.
Detectives arrested the four people on Thursday in Hamilton Hill, O’Connor, Success and Ellenbrook. They had previously arrested and questioned alleged suspects more than a week earlier, but those people were released without charge.
The accused are a 47-year-old man from O’Connor, a 39-year-old man from Aveley, a 45-year-old man from Success and a 49-year-old woman from Hamilton Hill.
WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch had been investigating whether the Hamilton Hill shooting was connected to another incident at a unit complex in the suburb two days earlier.
“We believe it’s a very confined incident between a number of parties known to each other,” he said.
