More than 130 people were invited to a state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping at the White House, bringing together senior officials, leading American technology executives, business figures, members of Donald Trump’s family and prominent media personalities.
The dinner was hosted by President Trump and the First Lady, Melania Trump. Xi attended with his wife, Peng Liyuan, while Vice President JD Vance and Usha Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Jeanette Rubio, and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles were also among the guests.
The Chinese delegation included Cai Qi, Xi’s chief of staff, Wang Yi, director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, and He Lifeng, vice premier of the State Council.
Other senior Chinese officials listed were Zheng Shanjie, chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, Wang Wentao, minister of commerce, and Ma Zhaoxu, executive vice minister of foreign affairs.
David Perdue, the US ambassador to China, attended with Bonnie Perdue. Xie Feng, China’s ambassador to the United States, was also invited, alongside officials from Beijing’s foreign affairs, finance, commerce and security departments.

The guest list featured some of the most influential figures in the US technology industry. Elon Musk, chief executive of SpaceX and Tesla, was invited alongside Jeff Bezos, Amazon chairman, and Lauren Sanchez-Bezos.
Other technology executives included Jensen Huang of Nvidia, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Tim Cook of Apple, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Sundar Pichai of Google and Sam Altman of OpenAI.
Lisa Su, chief executive of Advanced Micro Devices, attended with Daniel Lin, while Greg Brockman, president of OpenAI, was listed with Anna Brockman. Sergey Brin, Google co-founder, and Gerelyn Gilbert-Soto were also invited.
The list included Eric Yuan, chief executive of Zoom, Michael Dell of Dell, Cristiano Amon of Qualcomm, Sanjay Mehrotra of Micron and Kelly Ortberg of Boeing.
Among the other business leaders were Larry Fink of BlackRock, Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone, Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase, David Solomon of Goldman Sachs, Jane Fraser of Citigroup and Darren Woods of ExxonMobil.
Jeff Yass, an investor in ByteDance and TikTok, was invited, as were Mary Barra of General Motors, Larry Culp of GE Aerospace, Bernard Arnault of LVMH, Ryan McInerney of Visa and Michael Miebach of Mastercard.
Financial and institutional figures included John F. W. Rogers of Goldman Sachs, Lynn Martin of the New York Stock Exchange and Linda G. Mills, president of New York University. Miriam Adelson was listed as an investor and philanthropist.
Trump family and senior US officials
Members of the Trump family on the list included Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, Lara Trump, Tiffany Trump and Michael Boulos, as well as Arabella Kushner and Viktor Knavs.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. attended with Jane Sullivan Roberts. Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett M. Kavanaugh were also invited with their spouses.
Speaker Mike Johnson and Kelly Johnson were listed alongside several senior members of the administration, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and CIA director John Ratcliffe.
Other administration figures included Attorney General Todd Blanche, Energy Secretary Chris Wright, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Jay Clayton, director of national intelligence, and Russell T. Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget, were also invited.
The political and media guests included Senator Steve Daines, Representatives Jason Smith and Rich McCormick, Fox News anchor Bret Baier, and hosts Laura Ingraham and Jesse Waters.
David Ellison, chief executive of Paramount Skydance, was listed with Sandra Lynn Ellison, while Kevin M. Warsh, identified as Fed chairman, attended with Jane Lauder.
