Hull City have agreed a late deal to sign Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, in a move reported to be worth €15 million (£13 million) plus up to €12 million (£10.3 million) in add-ons.
The agreement was reported by Sky Sports on Monday, with the transfer understood to have been completed after the clubs reached a breakthrough on deadline day.
Iroegbunam, 23, had been heavily linked with Hull earlier in the summer after the Premier League newcomers made a formal offer for the midfielder. The move appeared to stall after he suffered an injury during Everton’s pre-season defeat by Stuttgart.
Hull manager Sergej Jakirovic had previously confirmed that terms had been agreed between the player and the club, but admitted the injury had placed the transfer in doubt. The Tigers have now revived the deal as they strengthen their squad for their return to the top flight.
Iroegbunam joined Everton from Aston Villa in June 2024 and has made more than 30 appearances for the club. His departure would leave Everton with a sizeable fee to reinvest after the arrival of additional midfield options this summer.
