Jessica Biel has revealed that her 11-year-old son, Silas, was “very concerned” about the green dress she wears in her new film, Matchbox.
The actress and producer said Silas reacted bluntly when he saw the outfit, asking: “What are you wearing, Mom? Yuck.”
Biel, 44, said the dress scene also prompted some anxiety for her as a mother. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is intense for them to be seeing this dress,’” she said.
Matchbox, an Apple TV film, stars Biel alongside John Cena, Arturo Castro, Sam Richardson and Teyonah Parris. Biel discussed the film and her son’s reaction while attending its premiere in New York.

Silas also appears briefly in the film, with Biel revealing that he has a small part at the very end.
Both Silas and his six-year-old brother, Phineas, visited their mother on set, where they met Cena and watched the film’s action and fight sequences being made.
“They are so funny,” Biel said of her sons. “I feel like their brains implode whenever they come to set, especially a set like this, where there’s a hero of theirs that they’re meeting.”
She said Phineas was still trying to work out whether the action was real, while Silas understood more about how the scenes were made.
“My little one, I think he was like, ‘Is this real? Is this not real?’ My 11-year-old is like, I know what this is. But the 6-year-old is still like, ‘What’s happening here?’”
