Actress Jewell Farshad has paid tribute to her former boyfriend Presley Gerber, describing the late 27-year-old as a “real-life superhero” after his death in Santa Monica.
Farshad shared a photograph of Gerber at a shooting range, recalling a period when the pair trained together in tactical and stunt work. She referred to him as her “battleground partner” in an emotional post published on Sunday evening.
In a follow-up message, Farshad said they met during actors’ tactical and stunt training, where Gerber helped her overcome her fear of firearms. She said their work required a high level of trust and that she would never forget him standing by her when she needed support.
Farshad confirmed that the two had dated before eventually separating as their lives went in different directions. Despite the breakup, she said she continued to think about Gerber and had considered contacting him in the weeks before his death.
She also posted a video of a butterfly which, she said, had visited her every day since Gerber died. Farshad described its presence as a sign that he was still looking out for her.
Gerber was found dead on 20 September inside a sober living facility in Santa Monica, around a week before Farshad’s tribute. Sources said he appeared intoxicated when he was admitted to the facility the previous night.
The cause of death has not been disclosed, although the autopsy has been completed.
