Jim Carrey has married his longtime girlfriend Min Ah in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, a spokesperson has confirmed.
The 64-year-old actor and comedian’s wedding was a small gathering, with news of the marriage announced on Wednesday September 30.
Carrey and Min Ah made their first public appearance as a couple earlier this year at the César Awards in France, where he received an honorary prize. Min Ah, an actress and artist based in Los Angeles, attended the event with Carrey’s daughter Jane and grandson Jackson.
During his acceptance speech, Carrey thanked his family and referred to Min Ah as his “sublime companion”.
“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever,” he said. “Thank you to my sublime companion, Mina. I love you, Mina.”
He also paid tribute to his late father, Percy Joseph Carrey, whom he credited with teaching him “the value of love, generosity, and laughter”.
It is not clear how long Carrey and Min Ah have been together, although they were seen out together in Los Angeles in February 2022.
Carrey was previously married to former actress Melissa Womer, with whom he shares Jane. He later married his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly in 1996; they divorced a year later.
