Katie Price has spoken publicly about her split from Lee Andrews, saying she feels he “scammed my heart” and fabricated a persona that did not exist.
The former glamour model, 48, discussed the breakdown of their marriage during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, after ending the relationship in early September following eight months of marriage. She has since consulted a divorce lawyer, while Andrews remains in prison in Dubai.
Price told presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls: “I feel embarrassed because I feel he scammed my heart. Do you know what I mean? I feel like he scammed my heart and stole my trust.”
She said Andrews had claimed to have $50 million in a cryptocurrency account, but that a financial expert later found only $3 (£2.22) in the wallet. Price stressed that she did not believe he had taken money from her, but said she felt deceived emotionally.
“He hasn’t scammed me for money, but I feel he has scammed me because he fabricated a person that doesn’t exist,” she said.

During the programme, a voice note recorded by Andrews from prison was played in which he said divorce was “for the best”. He also denied being a criminal and claimed that money had been located in the wrong cryptocurrency wallet.
“I love Kate and always will,” Andrews said, while adding that filing for divorce was probably the best course of action.
Price said listening to the message had left her shaking her head. She said she believed Andrews had loved her, but questioned his identity and accused him of repeating the same explanations over many months.
“I love him, but who is he? I love the man I met, but I just can’t take it,” she said.
Price added that she had been told repeatedly that Andrews would be released from prison or extradited to England, but said those claims had not materialised. She also said former partners had tried to warn her and that investigations by the media had made her reconsider what she had been told.
She said her family had warned her about Andrews and believed she had ignored them, but added that she had needed to reach her own conclusions after spending time with him in Dubai.
Price said the relationship had also shown her that she was comfortable living independently. “I’ve loved being on my own in my own space without a man in my pocket,” she said.
“It is a shame it’s come to an end because I can’t let this drag on, and I won’t let it drag on. If only he was honest to me. That’s all I ask.”
Price’s reported final WhatsApp message to Andrews earlier this month said: “I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Why have you lied to me?”
Claims about the cryptocurrency account have been attributed to a source close to the situation, who said Andrews had provided Price with a recovery phrase for a wallet he claimed contained $50 million. The source alleged that the account contained only $3 when it was accessed.
Andrews is reported to remain in Dubai’s Al Awir prison, despite earlier reports that he had been released. Claims that he was struggling to find money to pay a fine for his release have also been reported, although the raw material does not provide confirmation of his current legal position.
Price said she would not allow the matter to continue indefinitely and had previously indicated that she wanted Andrews to answer questions about allegations that he had hurt other people.
