Keegan Allen has released a further update after being injured in a gunpoint robbery in Los Angeles, saying he is recovering after an alleged attack by two men.
The Pretty Little Liars actor shared photographs on Instagram showing blood on his neck, shirt and cross chain, as well as an image of himself lying on a hospital bed with a cold pack on his leg and blood on his shoes.
“Thank you all for such kind and caring messages. I’m on the mend,” Allen wrote. He also said he was “really grateful” to God, law enforcement, his friends and hospital staff for their support.
The robbery happened last Thursday night on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. Police said two men, both wearing black, approached Allen, with one allegedly pointing a gun and the other displaying a knife before demanding his jewellery.
According to police, the gunman then struck Allen with the firearm and took his watch. The pair fled in a vehicle and remain at large.
Allen was treated at the scene by paramedics for a laceration to his head and released. He has since posted images of his injuries and warned on Instagram that West Hollywood is no longer safe.
He also shared a video describing the incident, alongside surveillance footage that appeared to show masked suspects outside a luxury grocery store.
