Lady Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky have welcomed their first child, with documents reportedly revealing the baby is a girl named Rose Bean Polansky.
The birth certificate said Rose was born on 9 June 2026 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles. The delivery was reportedly overseen by Dr Robert Katz, a doctor known for treating high-profile patients.
The couple have not publicly commented on the arrival. News of the birth emerged after Gaga was photographed holding a baby while walking with Polansky in northern California.
An insider told People the child’s first name was inspired by La Vie En Rose, the song Gaga performed while starring in the 2018 film A Star Is Born.
Gaga also has a large rose tattoo running down her spine, accompanied by the words “la vie en rose” in script.
Rose’s middle name, Bean, is reportedly a reference to American activist Carl Bean, who inspired Gaga’s song Born This Way.
Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, have been together for nearly seven years and announced their engagement in July 2024. They have generally kept their relationship private, although the singer has previously said Polansky had a significant influence on her personal life and creative work.
Gaga has spoken openly in the past about wanting to become a mother. “I will say I am very excited to have kids,” she told InStyle in 2020.
“I look forward to being a mum. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.”
