The Hollywood Vampires lawsuit brought by concert promoter Sten Hard has been dismissed after a court ruled that the band had insufficient connections to Texas for the case to be heard there.
Hard had sought around $277,000 from Hollywood Vampires Touring, claiming the group pulled out of a scheduled 2023 performance on the day of the concert.
The promoter alleged that the band said the venue was inadequate. He had previously withdrawn the claims against Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry as individuals.
The case continued against the band’s corporate entity, but the judge ruled that it could not be sued in Texas because it lacked meaningful contacts with the state.
The claim was therefore thrown out for lack of jurisdiction.
